Those attending the picnic have a great time!  Unfortunately, I have a previous commitment up at Lake Almanor.  Will be thinking of all of you.  Really great connecting with everyone on this site!  Have a good rest of your summer.

I wanted to let the class know that I've been fortunate in having my work in three gallery shows this summer:

Graton Gallery - http://gratongallery.net/  Three prints 8/17-9/25

Occidental Gallery - http://www.occidentalcenterforthearts.org/  Four prints thru 9/10

Sebastopol Arts Center - http://sebarts.org/  One print thru 9/4

Several of these have been posted to this site from time to time.

Take a ride to beautiful Sonoma county , see a show, & feel free to come by Bloomfield & say hi!

Fred

I think that a few more of you are going to the picnic on Sunday than the 5 of us who have "registered" here on our website.  I'm looking forward to seeing all of those who do show up.

LOCKED UP ABROAD by David Kunkel is an exciting read and highly recommended by Bob Endres, Tom Dundas and me! You, too, can enjoy a personalized copy.  Requests may be sent directly to Dave at: P O Box 670435, Chugiak, Alaska 99567. $25 for one book; $20 each for 2 or more. (This is waaay easier than attending one of his book signings!)  He would LOVE to hear from his classmates!

Sherry is spot on. Excellent read. A movie could be made. Missed his book-signing in Anchorage, though.

Sherry adds that Dave prefers cash.

I looked up the book on Amazon and one can purchase it in paperback for under $7!

Sherry Pena (Mesker)

David, that IS a bargain price, however, what is a signed copy from a former classmate worth? Giggle! Mr. Kunkel would appreciate our support. However the book is purchased, get ready for a crazy "ride!"

So how do I get a signed book?

08/27/16 04:31 PM #98

Robert (Bob) Endres

Don,

When you send your request to Dave Kunkel, add a note that you want it personally signed. It's a quick read, and suspenseful to the end. While we vacationed in SE Asia, Dave vacationed in the Mediterranean. I guess we all got a taste of hell, one way or the other.

Don, in case you missed Post #91, here is the info for our featured author: Send $25 cash ($20 each for 2 or more books), to David at P O Box 670435, Chugiak, ALASKA 99567. I received mine in a week!

Why hasn't David Kunkel joined this forum or the class website?

Dave - I've been traveling since Aug 29th, and just saw your message about Dave Kunkel.  I connected with him by phone (thanks to Tom Dundas) in April, 2015, before the 50th reunion.  He received all the emails about this website and the reunion, but evidently chose not to join the website.  While I can't give out his contact info, with your permission I could send him your email if you are interested in getting in contact with him.  Let me know.  Linda

Hope you all know that the annual all class PHHS picnic will be held Sunday August 20, 2017 right across from the main entrance to our almamater.  Time is 11 am - 5 pm.  Hope you can attend!  I'll be out of the country, so won't be able to make this fun happening, but hope to hear your reports.  Bring your own food, or purchase at the event, and catch up with members of our class and other PHHS classes.

Sadly, I report the passing of Randy Milliken, Class of 64.  Randy died at home in Davis California on Jan. 2, 2018, after a long illness. I know many members of our class knew Randy, and I am especially grateful for all the help he gave me as I learned how to deal with and expand this class website.  Randy had done much of the work on the '64 site, and was a wonderful resource! To read his obituary click here.

Today Google is celebrating the 30th Anniversary of "Pi Day." A little known fact about this wonderful holiday(?) it that it was created by a PHHS alumni, Larry Shaw… Here’s his Wikipedia page: Larry Shaw (Pi)

Not sure how many of us have Wiki pages. I don't, but it would be interesting to find out who does. Go Rams!

Steve,

I found my name at this link:   https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Intersexion ...the video was made in 2009.  It's a good educational video about those of us who were created different.  Happy belated Pi day to all!

Hi Everyone:  I'm sorry to say I won't be attending this summer's picnic gathering in Pleasant Hill as I had hoped.  Family events and my wife's health preclude traveling so far from our new home in Colorado Springs.  I retired last fall and thought I would be free to make it this year.  I hope everyone who goes has a good time reconnecting and reminiscing.  I am also looking up old friends from the military and college and we are making new ones here.  Good luck to all.  Hope to see you next year.
