David, I can't believe you are no longer with us.  You, Kathy Hogan and Nancy Holmes tried to teach me the light board for drama and I was a disaster!  You were pretty nice about it although you all had many a good laugh at my expense.  At summer drama camp before our senior year we used to all load into a car and have a great lunch in Walnut Creek! You were great in Winnie the Pooh our Junior year.  I have fun memories of  you. You are not forgotten!

After attending the school plays during our freshman year, I signed up for drama class during the summer.  During the first day of class, Mr. Gray said Pring follow me.  Mr. Gray took me over and introduced me to David, this is Ron, “He’s your helper”.  Dave replied fine.  As mister Gray waked away.  Dave looked at me and said, over there is the supply room. On the far wall is the electrical stuff.  Bring me two skyhooks.  So I went to get the skyhooks, it was the first time I ever heard the term “skyhook”  I looked on the far wall, the near wall, the wall to the left and the wall to the right.  I couldn’t find anything that looked like a hook big enough to hold the large lighting fixtures that David was changing the color of the lens on.  After eight to ten minutes of looking I returned to Dave and said, I didn’t see anything in the supply room that might be a skyhook.  David looked up laughed and replied, there’s no such thing as a skyhook.  We started laughing, for me that was the beginning of our friendship. From that time on, whenever I hear or used the word skyhook, I’ve thought of David.  Mr. Gray told me the production of Winnie the Pooh was for David.  Mr. Gray was right, in David’s heart and manner, Dave was and forever will be Winnie the Pooh. I’m sorry you’re gone my friend, I’m sorry I didn’t get to say goodbye.

Goodbye my friend

I remember David. We were in Winnie the Pooh together in our Junior year. I was the very "official" OWL. Very nice guy and played a great roll!

I have just been so sadden to see that David is no longer with us. We were really good friends in our Juniorand Senior year. He so loved the Drama club and the plays. Does anyone know what he went on to do after high school. Sorry we lost contact. So glad to see he's finally being remembered. We miss you David
