Sharon was my best friend all through high school & many memories involve her. I met her when she moved to Pleasant Hill from Utah in her sophmore year. She was walking home from school (with her books on her head cuz she was bored) & I yelled at her to come over to my house which she did. That was the beginning of our friendship & we were inseperable after that! She was funny, creative, & wild. I was always the "good girl" & she got me into so much trouble but boy, did she make high school fun. We had all these great plans about our kids getting married & being best friends forever but unfortunately she died way too young for any of that to happen. I still miss her after 40 years & think of her often. Rest in peace, dear friend. Oh & by the way, she hated this Senior picture. She called it her Beatle look. She had her pictures redone but too late to make the yearbook!

Sharon passed away way too young of a brain aneurysm leaving her husband, Bill Arnold, and 3 little boys. She was a great friend to me and my sister-in-law. We got into all sorts of trouble and adventures in high school. She was the only one who had a car and she joyfully drove the bunch of girlfriends around in her little blue beetle bug. We spun donuts in the parking lot of the Dairy Queen, cruised Main Street in Walnut Creek, sneaked out of sleepovers to TP houses, and mostly got into harmless trouble.

Sharon raised toy poodles and gave me my first dog. When I spent the night at her house we hung out in the basement and smoked cigarettes, listened to Johnny Mathis records and dreamed of finding our true loves.

Sharon was fun.   She saw the bright side of life and didn't take things too seriously.  I miss her still.
