Linda Geary Bernheim provided the following infor form what she read on Facebook: Lorraine Gifford passed away Sept 15, 2019. This info is from Doris Wolf Dahl ('64) and Greg Swope. She was living in Emeryville at the time. Lorraine had retired from Alameda County Social Services in Oakland. She had been diagnosed with COPD in 2005. She was buried at Saint Marys cemetery in Oakland next to her mother.

I am so sorry to hear that Lorraine has passed. I got to know her well our junior and senior year because her younger brother became involved in plays and we had several line rehearsals at their home. She was a wonderful person with a great smile, a fun laugh and a "take no prisoner" attitude about bs. My sympathies to her family and friends.

I too spent a lot of time with Lorraine and her brother, Mike when we were all involved in drama in high school. We spent a couple of summers after Mr. Gray's morning summer school drama classes at her parents' house at their pool. The whole drama class would show up and her Mom welcomed us with open arms. Those were the days! About 15 years ago I re-connected again with Lorraine via email. We had several long conversations and talked about meeting up in person some day. My being in Sacramento and her being in Oakland, we never managed that. Now I'm sorry we never did. RIP, Lorraine. You were a great friend in high school and we had some fun times back then.
