In Memory

Bruce Hannah

Bruce Hannah

Bruce Hannah was in hospice for a week when he passed away on 10-22-2021 due to complications from diabetes, kidney and heart failure and beginning stages of Alzheimer’s.  He is survived by his ex-wife Valerie, daughter Brooke Hannah and son Marshall Hannah and 6 grandchildren.  They were so devastated by their loss that they did not hold a funeral nor a celebration of his life.
Marjorie Lavezzo provided this information as Gary Lavezzo & Bruce we’re in business together 1981 - 1994 under the name of Super Chief, they were both contractors and they built some beautiful homes up in Granite Bay in Roseville.  They did stay in touch with Bruce during the following years.

Bruce stayed with me briefly in the summer of 2019. I could tell he had some health issues, but he wasn't taking care of himself. After his beloved bulldog died, he really went downhill. My mom died around the same time. It was time to go our separate ways....I hope he is at peace. His last years were very difficult.

Bruce was one of the first people I met when I moved to Walnut Creek. He lived down the street from me & we became fast friends. He was new as well so we "new kids" hung out together. Bruce was one of my best friends all thru 8th grade & into high school. He was kind, sweet & just an all around great guy. We, unfortunately, lost touch with each other after high school but did re-connect thru our PHHS web page & also Face Book. I was so sorry to hear of his passing & know that his family & friends will miss him terribly. I know I will. RIP, dear friend.

Oh my to hear of Bruce's passing was a real shock. We hadn't emailed (either direction) in a while but I was unaware of his health problems. Have you any more information re: memorial etc.?

We're all at (or near) this point in our lives. Which is why we should all tell the ones we love that we love them... Often... And out loud so they can hear.

On the other side of the coin, we can now stop nodding our heads in agreement while keeping quiet to comments / rhetoric we disagree with. Nicely and kindly of course but hey... What do we have to lose. :o)

FWIW: I think Bruce and I held the school record for distance towing a car with a rope. Stockton to Walnut Creek (old river road) then on to his dad's station in Oakland. Google Maps say that's 73.5 miles but that's on today's roads who knows how far it was back in 1963.
