Not having heard from Dana in a while I "googled' him only to learn that he'd passed away in December.
Don't know much about his life in Oregon if anyone does please post it.

Recently reconnected with more fellow crew on Zubenubi and with them I've a few more photos to share.
The first one is 'Zube' in full flight; the second has, from left to right, me, Tomas (retired Swiss representative to US) and Jon (Zubenubi's owner), along with the local crew that helped us get Zube ready to go.
Posted this in Janice Groth's profile when she posted Bruce's passing in October but I wanted it here on Bruce's Memorial page too...
Oh my to hear of Bruce's passing was a real shock. But thanks for posting. We hadn't emailed (either direction) in a while but I was unaware of his health problems. Have you any more information re: memorial etc.?
We're all at (or near) this point in our lives. Which is why we should all tell the ones we love that we love them... Often... And out loud so they can hear.
On the other side of the coin, we can now stop nodding our heads in agreement while keeping quiet to comments / rhetoric we disagree with. Nicely and kindly of course but hey... What do we have to lose. :o)
FWIW: I think Bruce and I held the school record for distance towing a car with a rope. Stockton to Walnut Creek (old river road) then on to his dad's station in Oakland. Google Maps say that's 73.5 miles but that's on today's roads who knows how far it was back in 1963.

Nick Nicolayeff's family will be having a 'Celebration of Life' for Nick in Idaho Falls, ID on Saturday, April 2nd, 2022. If anyone is in the area (or not) and would like to attend OR if you have any memories, photos etc. (signed yearbook photos?) let me know via private message and I'll help get you in touch with his family.
For those wishing to read Nicks obituary, here's a link: https://www.woodfuneralhome.com/obituary/Nicolas-Nicolayeff
It was nice to reconnect with Nick over the last few years. I seems his family were all doing well.
Rest in peace Nick and save me a seat at the big poker table in the sky... You 'done good.'

Thanks for posting this about George. I didn't know him well but via his memorial and all the photos posted at: https://www.lastingmemories.com/memorial/george-lesnikoff
I feel as though I had.
Photos are so important that we should all go through the boxes of them we have in the attic and put together our life stories while we still can. Those who carry on will appreciate the effort.
