I graduated from San Francisco State. Got a Masters in Education and taught adult ed nights and weekends.

I worked at the California Department of Transportation for about 38 years. I worked in highway construction inspection for a few years and then as the Chief of Public Affairs for the Bay Area including about five years working on the new Bay Bridge (East Spans) project until I retired.

After my retirement I took a job with the City and County of San Francisco managing a few of their office buildings. I now volunteer for San Francisco giving tours of City Hall and teaching people about the animals and exhibits at the California Academy of Sciences in Golden Gate Park.
A few years ago I was a Deputy Marriage Commissioner for San Francisco. I performed over 400 weddings in City Hall during a very exciting and fun time.
